Here is one of my first complete charcoal pieces. It got a bit messy, and I couldn't figure out where to put her mouth so that it would look right. But I still think it turned out ok.

this is really awesome!!! ^_^ hehehehe
This is gorgeous, it really is. The shading is wonderful, and the lines are smooth and clean. Her eyes have a lot of emotion, heck, the whole image portrays a lot of emotion. The ornament she has in her hair is very nice also. I think a mouth would have helped bring out a little more emotion, then again, in the past I've also been a big fan of the "somber expression's look better without mouths" movement, so that's kind of hypocritical of me. :D (Big Grin)

The softness of the nose ridge is very nice too. The whole drawing is great. Thumbs Up

Pity my ability to speak l337...
This is a beautiful piece. I'm rubbish with charcoal, it usually ends up anywhere BUT the picture. :D (Big Grin)
I have to agree with silver, the somber expression really adds to the effect... she looks so sad... I feel sorry for her now... .-_-.
